Eco club of our school empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. The students pledge to work in an environment friendly manner which includes usage of paper bags, water management, less electricity consumption and other activities.
Events like enactment, poster and collage making, quiz, etc. are held on Earth day so that the students can be made aware of the ways to save environment. The school also has a Solar panel and paper recycling unit to promote sound environmental behavior. Saving water and rain water harvesting is also taught as an activity as the school is very well planned to harvest rain water.
The club was mainly formed to inculcate the Road Safety Culture in the students and to groom them up into responsible road using citizens. The club, in collaboration with the Delhi Police, progresses with a motive of reinforcing correct safety behavior within the new generation. Regular workshops are organized for children so that they can understand the importance of following Road Rules.
Striving on the motto, “Healthy life, productive life, I’m happy, I’ll make others happy”, this club teaches children how to remain healthy and maintain personal and community hygiene. Activities like table manners and yoga are constantly practiced so that students can be made aware about the value of good health and how to maintain it. The club organizes health related activities and students are taught to prepare interesting food recipes.
Students are made aware of various causes of different calamities and techniques of disaster mitigation. Mock drills are conducted to train the students and teachers in evacuation techniques for disasters, like fire, earthquake or any other calamity.
This club appreciates the cultural interconnectedness of the past, present and the future. It engages in activities that explore the local histories as well as World Heritage properties. The club activities range from watching films, going for history walks and visiting museums and galleries.
The Aryabhatta Club of the school aims at creating and inculcating mathematical aptitude in students. Regular mathematical activities such as Maths Quizzes, Mathematical Games, Origami Art, Maths Workshops etc are conducted by the club. Mathematics lab of the school is a place where students love to explore and exchange mathematical ideas. With the firm vision of inspiring students to find Joy in Learning Mathematics, the club has been successful in promoting enthusiasm and interest in Mathematics among the students.
Literary club is committed to tap the effective communication talent among the students; it aims to foster a love for language, enhance literary creativity and provide an avenue for self-expression.
The club inspires the students to develop a taste for literature. It is intricate in a variety of activities aimed at building up the confidence and grooming the talents of students in facing various interpersonal activities and competitions. The club organizes competitions like extempore, essay writing, poetry writing, debate and quiz to enhance the speech and oratorical skills of the students.
Model United Nations or MUN as it is popularly abbreviated, is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students don the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real world issues with the policies and perspectives of their assigned country.
It’s a hands-on, face-first approach for the students to become adept at skills and knowledge incorporating confidence and leadership enhancement through experience. Model UN conferences have been known to provide invigorating opportunities to practice research, public speaking, teamwork, negotiation, and writing skills in a safe and structured environment and lead to the intellectual and psychological stimulation of the student and aid him in becoming aware of global policies regarding several pertinent issues and serves as a significant marker on their curriculum vitae, which many universities and colleges pay heed to.
Since its inception in 2016, ASPIRATIO-The Discipulo MUN, Bal Bhavan Public School’s MUN Club has sought to provide this encore opportunity to the students to polish their intellect through active participation in plethora of inter and intra school MUN competitions where the children have flourished in the arena of debating about international and national policies on a gamut of politically and socially relevant issues and have emerged sensitised and confident.
The club gives a chance to the students to learn about cyber security. This club provides a platform to students to develop their technical skills through the different activities organized by the club. The club wishes to inculcate problem solving ability in the students.
